iApp eKYB Terms of Use

Version of 4 November 2026. These terms apply together with the Terms and Conditions of iApp Technology Co., Ltd.; where they differ, these terms govern the eKYB service. The Thai version prevails over translations.

1. Acceptance

Accept these terms on the API Keys page, or in the try-it, before the first eKYB call, and again whenever a new version is published. Whoever accepts confirms that they may act for the organisation that owns the account. The version, time, IP address and browser of each acceptance are recorded. Until then the API answers 403 EKYB_TERMS_REQUIRED, unbilled.

2. The data

"Company data" means what eKYB returns: registration details, the directors, partners and authorised signatories, the financial statements a company has filed, its change history, and results iApp calculates, such as the risk score and red flags.

The data comes from information the Department of Business Development (DBD) publishes, which iApp collects and stores in its own database. When a customer calls a live endpoint, iApp reads the register at the time of the call. Every answer states the date of the data (dataAsOf) and its source (meta.provenance).

3. iApp's role

iApp collects, organises and calculates so the data can be searched. iApp is not the registrar, is not a government agency, does not act for the DBD and does not certify the data. The register and the certificates the DBD issues are what have legal effect.

4. Permitted use

For the customer's own internal decisions only: knowing a business customer (KYB), customer due diligence under anti-money-laundering law, credit and trade-credit assessment, and checking a supplier or partner before a contract.

5. Not permitted

The customer must not:

  1. display or publish company data publicly, such as on a website, in an app or on social media;
  2. sell, sublicense or pass company data on to anyone else;
  3. extract data systematically to build or copy a database of companies or of people;
  4. use the names of directors, partners or signatories for marketing, sales contact or profiling a person beyond the company check;
  5. use the search by a person's name to gather information about a person beyond the purposes in clause 4;
  6. put an API key in an app or web page its end users can reach;
  7. get around the limits in clause 10, for example by using several accounts.

6. Personal data

The names of directors, partners and signatories are personal data. The customer is the controller of the personal data it receives, must have a legal basis under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), may use it only as far as clause 4 needs, and must respect the rights of the people concerned. A customer that receives a request to stop using or to delete data obtained from eKYB should also tell iApp at legal@iapp.co.th.

iApp informs the people concerned in its privacy notice for directors and partners. A person whose objection iApp has accepted no longer appears in eKYB answers.

7. No warranty

The data is as of the dataAsOf date of each company. It may differ from the register at the time of use and may be incomplete; for example, some companies have never filed statements, and shareholders and beneficial owners are not included (ubo_available: false). The data is not a company certificate and is not legal evidence. Check the certificate issued by the DBD before relying on the data legally or entering a transaction.

8. Risk score and red flags

The risk score and red flags are iApp's own calculation from the available data, by the rules published in the API documentation. They are not a credit bureau score, not advice to grant or refuse credit, and not an opinion about any person. The customer must not publish a company's score to anyone outside its organisation.

9. Reporting an error

Report data that differs from the register to support@iapp.co.th with the registration number. iApp checks it and corrects its own copy to match the register. Corrections to the register itself are made at the DBD.

10. Limits

  • Each account may look up at most 1,000 different companies a day (Bangkok time, all endpoints together, search result rows included). Beyond that the API answers 429 DAILY_COMPANY_QUOTA, unbilled. Ask sale@iapp.co.th for more.
  • Accounts that have never bought credits do not see the names of directors, partners and signatories, and cannot search by a person's name.
  • Request rates per API key are given in the API documentation.

11. Monitoring and suspension

iApp monitors use to prevent misuse and may suspend an API key or account that breaches these terms, with notice where practicable.

12. Fees

Fees follow the prices on the product page and apply to successful answers only. An error, a company not found, or a call refused under clause 1 or clause 10 costs nothing. Credit refunds follow the general Terms and Conditions.

13. Liability

iApp's total liability arising from eKYB is limited to the eKYB fees the customer paid in the 12 months before the event, except for damage caused by iApp's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

14. Changes

iApp publishes each new version on this page with its date. The customer must accept the new version before continuing to use eKYB.
