Signing up a customer is slow where someone types from a photo
Every card carries a 13-digit number, a Thai and an English name, a birth date, an expiry date and a line-long address, typed in by hand one card at a time.
One wrong digit sends the case back, and general OCR cannot tell the name from the address.

Does iApp keep my customers’ card data?
No. Images are processed in memory and not kept after the response. If your policy does not allow card data to leave your network, the service can be installed on your own servers.
Can we use it for e-KYC under BOT, SEC or ETDA rules?
iApp does three steps of the process: reading the card, matching the face to the card photo, and detecting a spoof, which was tested by iBeta to ISO/IEC 30107-3 PAD Level 1 (October 2024). Images are not kept after processing. Reading the card chip with a card reader, checking the card’s status with the Department of Provincial Administration and verifying through NDID are steps a business connects itself; the back-of-card API returns the laser code that status check uses. Opening a deposit account or transferable e-money online requires all of these steps under the Bank of Thailand’s notifications.
What about blurry, tilted or glare-hit photos from customers’ phones?
Every field has a confidence score, so your system asks for a new photo only when it is low. A number short of 13 digits or failing its check digit comes back as an error and costs nothing, and the SDK captures the card straight from the camera. On 60 real cards: the ID number right on all 60, all fields 98.0%, and the Thai full name 93.3%, the lowest. If you match customers on the Thai name, check that field’s confidence.
Will the cost run away as we grow?
The published price is 1.25 credits per card, at 1.25 THB a credit, falling to 0.89 THB at volume, before VAT. You pay for what you use, with no monthly fee, and credits never expire. Set that against the staff time it takes to type in one card.
How long does integration take?
One HTTP POST, with examples in curl, Python and JavaScript, and an open-source SDK for web and apps. Try it on the free credits before you write production code.
What if the service fails while a customer is signing up?
The status of every API is public at status.iapp.co.th, failed requests are not charged, and in production the service sustains 5,000 cards an hour (August 2026).
Can we get a tax invoice in our company’s name?
Yes. Request it from the credits page of your account after you pay.
