iApp E-Voting Is Self-Assessed Against ETDA's E-Voting Standard and Listed by ETDA
iApp E-Voting has completed the self-assessment against ETDA's recommended standard ขมธอ. 26-2564 (version 2.0) for electronic voting systems, and is listed on ETDA's website.
An earlier version of this post described the listing as a "certification" and gave the standard's number as 25-2564. ETDA does not certify electronic voting systems: for e-voting it runs a self-assessment programme and publishes the systems that complete it. The standard is ขมธอ. 26-2564. This post now says so.
What the listing means
The standard sets out what an electronic voting system should do, in six functional and nine security areas, including that a ballot is cast as the voter intended, that the election can be audited, and that the voter's privacy and the secrecy of the vote are protected. A vendor assesses its own system against every item, ETDA reviews that the requirements were understood, and the system's name is published on ETDA's website. The listing is reviewed every year.
ETDA states that conforming to the standard does not certify the process or the result of any particular election. The organisation holding an election remains responsible for its rules and its procedure.
Where iApp E-Voting is used
Since 2020, iApp E-Voting has run 25 elections and member meetings for 14 organisations, including the Council of Engineers, the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Federation of Accounting Professions, the Medical Technology Council and the Engineering Institute of Thailand.
