Face Verification
The SDK wraps the Face Verification API in one typed call: send two face images, such as the selfie from active liveness and the portrait from a captured ID card, and get a similarity score and a match decision, at 0.3 IC per request. The call has no camera UI.
Call
- Flutter
- Web
- iOS / Android / React Native
import 'package:iapp_ekyc_sdk/iapp_ekyc_sdk.dart';
final client = IappEkycClient(apiKey: 'YOUR_API_KEY');
final result = await client.verifyFaces(
file1: selfieBytes, // e.g. from ActiveLivenessView
file2: idFaceBytes, // e.g. from DocumentCaptureView
);
if (result.matched) {
// Same person — score vs. threshold detail in result.raw
}
import { IappEkyc } from '@iapp-technology/ekyc-sdk';
const ekyc = new IappEkyc({ apiKey: 'YOUR_API_KEY' });
const result = await ekyc.verifyFaces({
file1: selfieBlob,
file2: idFaceBlob,
});
if (result.matched) {
// Same person
}
The native wrappers capture a sharp frontal selfie with the faceCapture flow; send the returned JPEG to this API from your app or backend. For a spoof-resistant flow, use Face Active Liveness, whose signed verdict already includes a passive liveness check.
Install: Getting started for Flutter and Web, iOS, Android & React Native for the native wrappers and camera permission.
Result
result.matched says whether the two faces are the same person; the score and the threshold it was judged against are in result.raw. The default threshold gives 99.50% precision; raise it for a lower false-acceptance rate, as the API reference explains.
Data handling and retries
- Images are held in memory only and sent only to the configured
baseUrl; the SDK never writes them to disk. - This is a billable call: the SDK never retries it automatically once the request body has been sent.
