Request

JSON to POST /v3/store/video/seedance/tasks, then GET /v3/store/video/seedance/tasks/{id} every 5 seconds until status is succeeded; polling is free. Open only to accounts that have bought a credit package at least once, since one 1080p render can cost 60 to 100 IC.

Seconds: 4 to 15 on Seedance 2.0, up to 30 on 2.5. Default 10, which is 101 IC at 720p on 2.5 where 4 seconds is 41. It must be a number, because the balance is checked against the price before the job starts: automatic length is refused with DURATION_NOT_NUMERIC, and a length above the model's limit with DURATION_TOO_LONG.

resolutionstring

480p, 720p or 1080p; 1080p only on Seedance 2.0, not Fast. Default by model.

ratiostring

16:9, the default, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9.

Prices are in IC per second of video, and only a successful render is charged: a failed job, a moderation rejection included, costs nothing.

A 5-second 720p clip is about 51, 34 or 27 IC by model.

Reference video, and the exact formula

A reference clip, up to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5 and 15 on 2.0, is processed too: with one attached, the rate per second falls and applies to input plus output seconds.

A 6-second reference producing 5 seconds at 720p on 2.5 is (6 + 5) × 6.3, about 69 IC. The clip's real duration is read before charging; when it cannot be read (an unusual container, a host that refuses range requests, a slow response), the model's maximum input length of 15 or 30 seconds is assumed, so a job is never under-billed. An MP4 on a host that supports range requests, or an upload through the demo, is always measured.

The model bills per output token, (input seconds + output seconds) × width × height × frame rate / 1024, rounded up to the next 1,000; the per-second figures are that formula at 25 fps and 16:9. Rates per 1K tokens, without and with a reference video: Seedance 2.5 0.45 and 0.28 IC; Seedance 2.0 0.302 and 0.186, at 1080p 0.333 and 0.203; Fast 0.242 and 0.143. The balance must cover the whole predicted cost before a job is accepted.

The poll returns status: queued, processing, succeeded, failed, cancelled or expired; once succeeded, also content.video_url, an MP4 that expires after about 24 hours, so download it at once, and usage.completion_tokens. Details

Limits

• One render per task, generated offline; nothing live or real-time.
• Avoid prompts depicting real public figures, copyrighted characters or protected IP. You keep the commercial rights to what you generate.

Data handling

Rendering runs on the model provider's service in Singapore. Only the video link is kept, for about 24 hours. For a bug report, quote the task id: every call can be traced.
