Licence plate recognition: 0.25 IC an image, and monthly Gate plans
On 20 October 2026 iApp Technology lowered the price of licence plate recognition from 0.75 IC to 0.25 IC an image. For systems that read plates every day, three monthly Gate plans are also available. The endpoints, requests and responses do not change.
Pay as you go: 0.25 IC an image
The new price applies to every licence plate endpoint: the main endpoint and /base64, the -v3 endpoints, and the older paths.
- Per image: 0.3125 THB at the base credit rate of 1.25 THB per IC. Credits bought in larger amounts cost less per IC, down to 0.89 THB, which brings an image to 0.2225 THB.
- Errors: a request answered with an error status (HTTP 4xx or 5xx) is not charged. An image in which no plate is found is a completed read and is charged.
- Existing credits: your balance stays as it is, and every IC now reads three times as many images. Credits do not expire.
Gate plans
A plan gives your account a fixed number of images each month at a fixed price.

How a plan works:
- Coverage: every licence plate endpoint, from every API key on the account, counts against the plan.
- Monthly reset: the images reset every month, including on yearly plans. Unused images do not carry over.
- Beyond the allowance: each further image costs 0.25 IC from your credit balance.
- Payment: by card, renewing automatically. A yearly plan costs ten months' price.
- Changes:
- an upgrade applies at once;
- a downgrade applies at the next renewal;
- you can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Pay as you go or a plan
Compare at the base credit rate:
- Gate S costs less than pay as you go from about 4,800 images a month, which is roughly 160 a day.
- Gate M costs less than Gate S plus pay as you go from about 14,800 images a month.
- Gate L costs less than Gate M plus pay as you go from about 44,400 images a month.
As a rough guide by images a day:

If your volume is irregular or still small, credits remain the simpler choice.
