One day after launch, iApp Image Generation moves to version 1.1.0. The theme of this release is เพิ่มความเป็นไทยและความสมจริงเข้าไปอีก: more Thai, more realistic. Thai text now looks like part of the photograph rather than a label placed on top of it, the model knows Thai public figures by name, and you can hand it a reference image of your own.

What is new in 1.1.0​

1. Text that belongs to the scene​

In the launch version, Thai text was always rendered exactly, but it often sat on a white panel. In 1.1.0 the lettering is painted, printed, carved, embossed or lit on a surface that really exists in the scene, a shop sign, a bottle label, a banner, a night-market arch, following that surface's perspective, material and lighting. Every image is still checked automatically after generation: if the text is missing, duplicated, or the model has added lettering of its own, the image is regenerated once before it is returned. The check result is reported in the text_check field of the API response.

2. More than 4,000 Thai public figures, by name​

The model was trained with more than 4,000 Thai public figures from the iApp Thai Famous People dataset: politicians, artists, athletes, business leaders and academics. Name one of them in the prompt and the picture shows that person.

Two rules make this work reliably. Write the full name or the official position exactly as spelled, for example กอบกฤตย์ วิริยะยุทธกร or นายกรัฐมนตรี. A partial or misspelled name is treated as an ordinary description and produces a generic person. The cover image of this post was generated from a Thai prompt that names Dr. Kobkrit Viriyayudhakorn, CEO of iApp Technology, giving a keynote, with the headline on the LED wall specified in the text field.

3. Bring your own reference image​

The new reference_image field accepts a PNG, JPEG or WebP image (base64, up to 6 MB). The generated picture keeps the subject of that image, a person, a product, a place or an artwork, together with its appearance and style, and follows your prompt for everything else. The live demo has an upload button for it; images are downscaled in the browser before they are sent.

The 29 examples on the documentation page were generated again with 1.1.0 and re-verified. Each card shows the exact request, so you can load it into the demo with one click and change only the text.

How to try it​

iApp Image Generation is available now on the iApp AI Marketplace at the preview price of 1.5 IC per image, and through the same API endpoint as before. Existing integrations need no change: the realistic text placement and the public-figure recognition are on by default, and the reference image is an optional field.
